The SHSS program offers a blend of cross-disciplinary courses, together with Venetian Art and Architecture, History of Ancient and Modern Venice, Italian Contemporary History and Culture, and Italian language courses for foreigners. Respect for diversity and mutual understanding are fostered through comparative and cultural studies. Group work in courses is encouraged to facilitate the transfer of knowledge through different academic traditions. The School also organizes a wide range of extracurricular activities in order to make students aware of the multifaceted aspects of Venice.
